(Peters) Conklin. a graduate of Bettendorf High School, he was united in mar- riage to Sharon Ruebbelke on May 5, 1979 in davenport. donny opened the Conk- Super-Valu on West 4th Street in davenport in Sep- tember 1983 and it became Save-a-Lot in May 1995. He later opened the Save-a Lot store on Locust Street and additional stores in Cedar Rapids and Trenton, Missouri. donny kept a close relation with his business family, the in Kahoka, Mis- souri.

a diehard avid fan of the Cubs, Bears, and Hawkeyes, donny also enjoyed golfing. He had kept a standing tee time for more than 20 years every Sunday at Palmer Hills Golf Course. diana and her mother left Cuba in 1962 with only the clothes on their backs. after arriving in the U.S they lived in Miami for approximately one year and moved to Manning, Iowa, where she taught Spanish and French. She graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in P.H.d. Ed- ucation. Later they moved to davenport where she taught Spanish at Palmer College of Chiropractic and later at au- gustana College.

after retirement she taught Spanish at John F. Kennedy Catholic School, davenport. She was united in marriage to George a. dau on January 13, 1968, in davenport. diana was very proud to become an american citizen.

She was very devoted to her Catholic faith and made more than 25,000 rosaries donated to the missions and to the military over the years. She belonged to the Marian Move- ment of Priests and held ce- nacles in her home for many years. Those honoring her mem- ory are her niece diana M. Rosenada and great nieces, Vanessa and Stephanie Her- nandez, Miami Florida; great- great nephew Liam; great- great niece audrey and many friends. She was preceded by her parents, husband, and brother Lionel Rosenada.

Catholic Church. Lawrence was born on Sep- tember 25, 1926, in Rock Is- land, the son of albert d. and Elizabeth (Muylle) Coussens. He married norma Jean Bis- contine on october 10, 1953 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Rock Island. Lawrence was employed as a machinist at the Rock Island arsenal for 35 years, retiring in 1984.

He was a member of St. Catholic Church in Moline, and he also enjoyed boxing movies, miniature vintage car collecting and gardening. He loved family gatherings. Lawrence was a U.S. navy veteran and a mem- ber of the american Legion, Post 246, Moline.

Survivors include his wife, norma; children, denise (dale) Standard, Jeff (Heather) Coussens, annette (Mark) drobushevich; grandchildren, Emily (Chad) Brownfield, adam (Saki) Stone, Jessy Bartz, Ben Bartz, ava Cous- sens, Chase Coussens; first great-grandchild (Stone) ex- pected in the fall. Harry dean was a 1946 grad- uate of Wapello High School and attended Burlington Junior College. He served his country in the United States army. on october 11, 1953, he was united in marriage to Beverly Jean Flayharty in Mount Union. Harry dean retired from Prime Mover in Muscatine with over 30 years service. He was a member of the Glenn allen V.F.W Post 5166 of Wapello.

He enjoyed watching all sports and was an avid Iowa Hawkeye and Cubs fan. Harry dean will be deeply missed by his wife, Beverly of Wapello; children, debbie (Roger) Huddle of Wapello, Steve (diane) Meyerholz of Iowa City and Jeff Meyerholz of Muscatine; grandchildren, Whit- ney (Tony) Hollenbaugh, Mitch (Robyn) Huddle, T.J.
