Memorial services will be married Edward B. Bonamie, February 14, 1928, in Wessing-ton, S.D. He preceded her in death on March 19, 1972.

They farmed in Wessington for approximately 5 years, and due to the depression era, they moved to East Moline, where Edward was employed at John Deere Harvester Works for 30 years. Florence worked at the former Fairbanks Morse for 15 years. She was a member of the church and the Altar and Rosary Society. Survivors include a daughter, Gladys Teichman, East Moline; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Mary Ann Bonamie, Rock Island; grandchildren, Gary Teichman, Rock Island, and Jeffry Bonamie, Arlington, Texas; three great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; a sister, Gladys Porschke, Geneseo, and brothers, Don Vermost, Moline, and John "Eddie" Vermost, Cambridge. East Moline James Boggs Sr.

EAST MOLINE Graveside services for James L. Boggs 63, East Moline, are 10 a.m. Wednesday at Roselawn Memorial Estate, Moline. There will be will be 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the church.

Halligan McCabe De Vrics Funeral Home, Davenport, is in charge of arrangements. Patricia died Saturday, September 27, 2003, at Health Park Lee Medical Center, Fort Myers, after an extended illness. Patricia A. Halligan was born October 5, 1933, in Davenport, the daughter of Melvin S. and Grace A.

(Ross) Halligan. She married Richard D. Kroeger Sr. on January 4, 1957, in Davenport. She and her husband were co-owners of Fellner Fuel Coal Co.

of Davenport for over 25 years. She later retired as a scale operator for Builders Co. of Davenport in 1998. She was a lifetime member of St. Alphonsus Church.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Her hobbies included fishing and camping. Memorials may be made to St. Alphonsus Church. Survivors include her husband, Richard D.

Kroeger Bonita Springs, a daughter, Christie Risley (Russ), Davenport, and a son, Mark Kroeger (Debbie), Bonita Springs, seven grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren; and a sister, Rosemary Enoch (Don), and brothers, Melvin J. William K. Stout, 79, of Lowden, Iowa, died Sunday, Sept. 28, 2003, at Genesis Medical Center-East Campus, Davenport. Arrangements pending at Chapman Funeral Home, Clarence, Iowa. day at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Genesis Hospice or the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Quad-Cities. She was born May 22, 1907, in Moush, Armenia. She was united in marriage to Mike Sharoian in Constantinople, Turkey. In 1921, she arrived at Ellis Island in New York, where she was reunited with her husband and they eventually made their way to Bettendorf. Mike preceded her in death on April 21, 1937.

In early years, she was employed at the former M.L. Parker Department Store in Davenport and was the housekeeper for the Oakley Tyler family in Davenport for 16 years. For more than 50 years, she and her family owned and operated the Arrowhead Tavern on State St. in Bettendorf. In addition, she cared for her father-in-law, Joseph Sharoian until his death at age 99.

Her memberships included the Armenian Relief Society and St. George the Illuminator Armenian Apostolic Church in Granite City, Illinois. She was an active participant in the International Folk Festival in Bettendorf for many years and also loved to travel. "Mama" loved to cook for her family and many friends and will always be fondly remembered by those who knew and loved her. Her home was always a haven of friendship and love to all who entered.

Those left to honor her memory include her daughter and son-in-law, Mary Jane and Jasper Perry of Las Vegas, Nevada, her daughter, Sandra J. Mohr of Davenport; her son-in-law and his wife, Dr. James E. and Donna Murray of Henderson, Kentucky; sixteen grandchildren; thirty-one greatgrandchildren; one great-great-grandson. Also honoring her memory are Art and Elsie Tatoian, who thought of "Mama" as a mother; and her long-time and very special friend, Thelma Ehredt of Riverdale, Iowa.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughters and sons-in-law, Deba Sharoian, Alice Murray, Alma and James Geary and Gary Mohr; her sons and daughter-in-law, George Ossie Sharoian, John Sharoian and Joseph and Marge Sharoian; and her parents. held at the Clinton Chapel Sncll-Zornig-Den-nls A. Thomas was born on Tuesday, May 25, 1943, in Clarksville, the son of Dr. Don E. and Adeline (Wavra) Hill. Thomas was a graduate of St. Mary's High School, attended St.

Ambrose College for one year and graduated from the University of Iowa with his business administration degree. He was production manager at A.C. Nielsen for 21 years, retiring in 1987. He married Mitzi Schultz on December 3, 1966, in Clinton. He was a member of Prince of Peace Parish and the Eagles Club.

Survivors include his wife, Mitzi Hill of Clinton; one son, Bruce (Tammy) Hill of Goose Lake; two daughters, Carrie (Jeff) Sandberg of Minneapolis, and Jennifer (Patrick) Smith of Minneapolis; three grandchildren; and one sister, Virginia (Jerome) Klockenkemper of Zionsville, Ind. Lola B. Cooper ALEDO, 111. Lola B. Cooper 96, of Aledo, died Friday, September 26, 2003, at Mercer County Nursing Home in Aledo.

Services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Fippinger Funeral Home, Aledo. Burial will be in the Aledo Cemetery. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home where the Mercer County VFW Post 1571 Auxiliary will conduct services at 8 p.m.

Memorials may be left to the Mercer County VFW Post 1571 Auxiliary or the Mercer County Nursing Home. She was born October 2, 1906, in Knox County, Missouri, a daughter of William and Carrie Hudnut Burk. She attended Colony Schools in Missouri and married Mrs. Cooper Harold Rayburn Cooper February 25, 1928, in Monticello, Missouri. He died September 14, 1998.

Lola was a homemaker and assisted her husband in the operat ion of the family farm. She was a member of the Mercer County VFW Post 1571 Auxiliary, the former United Presbyterian Church in Aledo and its Unbroken Circle and the former Burgess Presbyterian Church. Lola enjoyed playing cards, took pleasure in cooking for her family, gardening and especially spending time with her family. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-laws, Patty and Dick McPheron of Phoenix, and Dorothy and Glen Bennett of Aledo; a son and daughter-in-law, Gordon and Dorothy Cooper of Aledo; nine grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; two great- great grandchildren; a sister, Bernice Frank of Aledo; and a sister-in-law, Catherine Burk, of Dallas City. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a granddaughter, two brothers and one sister.

Snicker, 76, of Davenport, passed away Saturday, September 27, 2003, at Genesis Medical Center-West Campus, Davenport. Funeral services will be 10 a.m.

Thursday, October 2, 2003, at the Runge Mortuary Crematory. Burial will be at the National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal. Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary. Lowell was born July 18, 1927, in Renville County, Minnesota, to Harold and Hazelle (Peterson) Snicker.

He was united in marriage to Joyce Claussen Mr. snicker September 30, 1950, in Davenport. He was a World War II veteran having served in the Navy. Lowell had been employed as a technician at Occidental Chemical in Buffalo for 10 years, retiring in 1985. P'or the last 15 years he has been working at the Five Points and Bettendorf Osco Drugs.

Lowell was an avid runner who enjoyed 5K races and had participated in the CBRC 24 hour run. Survivors his wife, Joyce Snicker, Davenport; a daughter, Peggy and husband Randy Johnson, Kenosha, sons, Gary Snicker and Joanne, Davenport, and Jeff and wife Sara Snicker, Davenport; five grandchildren, Stacy, April and Barbara Johnson and Tim and Dan Snicker; a sister, Clarice King, Renville, and several nieces and nephews, He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Arlett Snicker (infancy), and Marillyn Miller; and a niece, Teri Miller. Arthur Brus DAVENPORT Arthur T. Brus, 83, of Davenport, passed away Sunday, Sep tember 28, 2003, at the Kahl Home for the Aged Infirm. Funeral services will be 10 a.m.

Tuesday, September 30, at the Runge Mortuary Crematory. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at the National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal, where the Blue Grass American Legion will conduct military rites. Memorials may be made to the family. Arthur was born April 1920, in rural Scott County to Barney and Theresa (Rowe) Brus.

He was united in marriage to Rosemary Kirsch on August 4. 1944, in Pecos, Texas. Mr' Bnw Arthur was very proud of his military service, serving in the Army Air Corp during WWII as a B-17 pilot in Europe. He was a charter member of the Blue Grass American Legion and a member of the Davenport Elks 22, no visitation. Van Hoe Funeral Home East Moline, is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Boggs died Saturday, Sep Mr. Boggs tember 27, 2003, at Parkview Terrace, East Moline, after an extended illness. He was born February 15, 1940, in Moline, the son of James and Mae (Maxwell) Boggs. He married Donna Avery in September of 1946.

Jim was a graduate of UTHS. He was a retired Union Carpenter. Mr. Boggs had a special love of street rods. Memorials may be made to the family.

Survivors include his son, James Boggs Moline; his companion of 14 years, Nancy Busch, East Moline; a grandson, Jacob; and a sister, Janet DeSmet, Moline. Area deaths Gerald Oepping WILTON, Iowa Gerald E. Oepping, 80, of Wilton, died Saturday, September 27, 2003, at University of Iowa Hospital, Iowa City. He married Beverly M. Mar tens on January 7, 1945, in Wilton.

She preceded him in death on April 1, 2002. He was a truck driver at Pioneer Hybrids for 38 Mr. Oepping years, retiring in 1985. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 29, from 4-7 p.m. at Bentley Funeral Homes in Wilton.

Services will be held on Tuesday, September 30, at 10 a.m. the funeral home. Interment will take place in the Overman Cemetery, Atalissa. Survivors include one daughter, Peggy (Mrs. Todd) Pewe of Walcott; three sons, Jerry (and his wife Sandy) Oepping of Wilton, Steve (and his wife Louise) Oepping of Moscow, Iowa, and Jim (and his wife Marlene) Oepping of Wilton; one sister, Elda Parent of Portage, nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Genevieve Jenkins, and two granddaughters, Staci Oepping and Jessica Oepping. 'Hank' Kritter BETTENDORF Henry F. (Hank) Kritter, 71, of Bettendorf, Iowa, died Thursday, September 25, 2003, at home surrounded by his family.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 30, 2003, at St. Alban's Episcopal Church, Davenport, Iowa. Visitation will be Monday from 4-7 p.m. at Weerts Funeral Home, Davenport, Iowa.

Henry married Beverly Hayne November 23, 1957, in Milwaukee. Hank was a loving and wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He also was a friend and mentor to many. He enjoyed golf, motorcycling, whistling, building birdhouses and travels in their motor home. Hank served in the U.S.

Navy during the Korean conflict. Upon his return, he joined his father in the catering business. After coming to the Quad-City area, he was a salesman in food service, real estate, and disaster restoration. He was an active member of St. Alban's Episcopal Church and the Cursillo movement.

Memorials may be made to St. Alban's Episcopal Church, the American Red Cross or Hospice Care of VNA. Survivors include his wife, Beverly; daughters, Sheila and her husband, Douglas Wier, of Bettendorf, Iowa, Dana and her husband, Theodore Oade, of Colorado Springs, grandsons, Andrew and Daniel Wier; brothers, Carl and James Kritter of Milwaukee, Michael Kritter of Santa Fe, N.M.; and sister, Elenora McPhee of Lake-in-the-Hills, 111. Hank was preceded in death by a daughter, a brother, his parents and a sister. Tako 'Mama' Sharoian BETTENDORF Tako "Mama" Sharoian, 96, a well-known and long-time resident of Bettendorf, Iowa, peacefully passed away at her home on Fri day evening surrounded by her beloved family.

Arthur was also an avid Chicago Cub and Iowa Hawkeye fan. She was born November 2, 1923, in Tennessee, Illinois, the daughter of Hattie Ruth (Teel) and Orlow Beck. She married Travis W. Booth on October 3, 1941, in Missouri. Margaret was a homemaker and a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was also an active member of First Christian Church, Davenport.

Survivors include her husband, Travis W. Booth, Davenport; son, Travis Kent (Sandra) Booth, Colona, daughter, Lana Kay (Charles) Clark, Davenport, Jan is Ruth (Darrell) Heilmann, Blue Grass, Iowa; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; five stepgreat-grand-children; sisters, Virginia Marks, Thousand Oaks, Nola (Robert) Christian, Washington, 111., Shirley (John) Morgan, Camarillo, Calif. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Orlow Beck and an infant great-granddaughter, Jessica Lindsay Melroy. Norton on July 28, 1961, in Moline. He died November 6, 1995. She was an accountant for Robbins Electric and Strombeck Manufacturing Company. Clarissa is survived by a son, Barry P. Highstnith of Moline; two step-daughters and their husbands, Susan and George Rekkas of Davenport, and Sally and Robert Lambert of Bettendorf; six grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
