Inurnment will take place at National Cemetery, Rock Island.

Survivors include her husband, Blaine Flack Sr. of Stockton; four daughters, Christine (Mrs. Larry) Williams of Clovis, Debra (Mrs. Tom) Peder-sen of West Branch, Joan (Mrs. Art) Whittley of Prineville, and Diane Schlapkohl of Stockton; six sons, Blaine (and his wife Brenda) Flack Jr.

of Pleasant Valley, Mike (and his wife Teresa) Flack of Durant, Kevin Flack of Hampton, III, Patrick (and his wife Teresa) Flack of Savage, John Flack (fiancee Sherry Fry) of Coal Valley, 111., and Steven (and his wife Sheri) Flack of Davenport; two sisters, Ellen Peterson of Shawnee Mission, and Mary Wonderly of Conception, 21 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. A memorial has been established in her memory. Pleasant Valley Scott Greenlee PLEASANT VALLEY, Iowa Memorial services for Scott Greenlee, 74, of Pleasant Valley, will be 11 a.m. Monday at Cun-nick-Collins Mortuary, Davenport, where the American Legion Post 26 will conduct military rites. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m.

at the mortuary. Scott died on Wednesday, (Westwood) Boger. She was united in marriage to Hilbert Marolf in Annville, Pennsylvania, on July 13, 1946. He preceded her in death in 1980. She married Joseph Amelotte in 1986 in Lyn-field, Massachusetts.

He preceded her in death in 1988. She graduated from Episcopal Hospital Nursing School in Philadelphia. She was a World War II Army Nurse stationed in Oxford, England. She was a registered nurse at the former Mercy Hospital until 1975. Marion was active in the Grace Lutheran Church, Davenport; American Red Cross; and the Mercy Breakfast Group.

Survivors include her son, Wm. Jeffrey Marolf, Blue Grass; daughter, Jane (Ernesto) Ori-bello, Norfolk, sisters, Eleanor Brown, Windsor, Madeline Halliburton, Lancaster, and Frances (Gene) Wootten, Laurel, Delaware; grandchildren, Don (Stephanie) Childers Angelina Childers, Jennifer Oribello and Rebecca Oribello; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, John Boger HI; sisters, Louise Silliman, and June Athene Aldinger; and daughter-in-law, Wanda Marolf. Bettendorf Mark McCoy Nagan BETTENDORF Mark McCoy Nagan, 33, of Rancho Mirage, formerly of Bettendorf, died Friday, May 2, 2003, after a nine-year battle with brain cancer. He returned to the home of his parents in Bettendorf, April 10, to enter the hospice program.

Mark attended Pleasant Val detailed-oriented person who would get things done. "Give him a mission, and he would accomplish it," he said. Mr. Bolt, a Rock Island native, took architectural courses at the universities of Illinois, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. During World War II, he served with the U.S.

Army Corps of Engineers, earning a silver battle star on his European African Middle Eastern Theater ribbon for participating in the Naples, Foggia, Rome, Southern France, Rhineland and Southern Europe campaigns. He and his wife, who met when they were in the third grade, were married in 1946. Their son, Craig, is an aeronautical engineer in Connecticut. Mr. Bolt is described by his wife as quiet, easy to get along with and exacting in his work.

His hobbies included golf and travel. East Moline, for 30 years, retiring in 1978. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Moline. He enjoyed country music and Western movies and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. He also enjoyed his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 3-6 p.m. Sunday at Wendt Funeral Home, Moline. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Moline Memorial Park.

Survivors include his wife, Ruby; two daughters, Roberta (Chuck) Peterson, of Moline, and Ronda (Tony) Ceurvorst, of Moline; two sons, Robert (Joyce Deluichio) Thennis, of Davenport, and Randall (Cindy) Thennis, of Davenport; 16 grandchildren, Sarah Fulkerson, Craig Peterson, Scott Peterson, Kelly Ceurvorst, Jenny Ceurvorst, Dan Ceurvorst, Katlyn Ceurvorst, Tony Ceurvorst, Hannah Ceurvorst, Noah Thennis, Ashley Thennis, and Jacob, Jackie and Jordan Salmonson; two step-grandchildren, Corey and Erica Gasper; and four greatgrandchildren, Tyler Hamilton-Ceurvorst, Miranda Capper Ceurvorst, Hailey Fulkerson and Kendall Fulkerson. He was preceded in death by his father, LeLand Thennis; his mother, Sarah Thennis; and one brother, Richard Thennis. Leola Purdum ROCK ISLAND Services for Leola G. Purdum, 93, Portland, Texas, formerly of Moline, will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at Hodgson Funeral Home Rock Island.

Visitation is one hour before the service. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery Moline. Mrs. Purdum died Wednesday, April 30, 2003, at Christus Spohn Memorial Hospital, Corpus Christi, Texas. She owned a variety store in Freemont, Texas, for many years.

Leola Mumm was born Jan. 9, 1910, in Moline. She married Marion Purdum. He preceded her in death. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society Survivors include sons, Glenn Portland, and Don Pearland, Texas; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

By John WHIard QUAD-CITY TIMES Robert Bolt helped achieve an architectural triumph for Deere Mr. Bolt, a corporate architect for Deere for many years, represented the company during its dealings with famed architect Eero Saarinen in the design, development and completion of the Deere Administrative Center. Later, he worked with Saari-nen's successor, Kevin Roche-John Dinkello and Associates, in the expansion of the administrative center. Mr. Bolt, 82, died April 18.

He had been recovering from a stroke, his wife, Eudella, said. ROCK ISLAND Gladys W. Bower, 95, of Rock Island, died Thursday at River Park Health Care Center, Rock Island. Services will be 1 1 a.m. Monday at St. Pius Catholic Church, Rock Island.

Ralph J. Wiftich-Riley-Freers, Muscatine, is in charge of arrangements. Dorothy A. Johnson 76, of Geneseo, III died Friday at Hillcrest Home, rural Geneseo. Services will be 1 1 a.m.

Memorial services will be later in Clarence. Davenport Jerry Lee Burton DAVENPORT Jerry Lee Burton, 63, of Davenport, formerly of Moravia, Iowa, died Wednesday, April 30, 2003, at Genesis Medical Center-West Campus, Davenport. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Moravia Chapel. The Rev.

(Strunk) Burton on September 3, 1939, near Moravia. He graduated from Moravia High School in 1958. Jerry married Marcia Lois LaMar on March 4, 1966, in Moravia. Jerry farmed for a while near Moravia. He started his trucking career with Ellsworth Freight Lines in Eldora, Iowa.

For 32 years, he trucked for Eagle Country Market. Jerry was honored with the two million mile award for driving that distance without an accident. He retired from Eagle in the fall 2000. Jerry enjoyed his grandkids and the coffee club at the Davenport McDonald's on Locust. He is survived by his ex-wifespecial friend, Marcia Lois LaMar, of Davenport; two sons, Christopher Lee Burton and Tammy Diane Roseman-Burton, and their children, Kieran, Kalynn and Kyle, and Bradley Joseph and Kelly Ann Burton, and their children, Cade and Christopher, all of Davenport.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Gilbert-Boman Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements. Ruth Torrence DAVENPORT Ruth Elaine Torrence, 76, of Davenport, passed away on Monday, April 28, 2003, at Genesis Medical Center-East Campus, Davenport, following an extended illness. Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Monday, May 5, at Grace United Methodist Church.

Following her wishes there will be no visitation. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Ruth was born on September 15, 1926, in Oskaloosa, Iowa, the daughter of Roy and Del- Mrs. Torrence Mrs. Torrence photo phia (Morris) Kirkpatrick.

She was united in marriage to Floyd Egger Sr. in 1952 in Davenport. He died in 1995. She later married John Torrence in 1985 in Moscow, Iowa. He preceded her in death in 1998.

She worked at the Kahl Home i mm April 30, 2003, at Genesis Medical Center-West Campus, Davenport. Scott Greenlee was born on August 11, 1928, in Davenport, the son of Raymond and Leona (Unger) Greenlee. He worked as a machinist at the Rock Island Arsenal from 1950 to 1980. He was a member of Mr. Greenlee Mr.

Greenlee early photo Local No. 81 International Association of Machinist. He served in the U.S Army Air Force during World War II. He married Rosel Scheib. They were later divorced.

He then married Lois Fuller in 1963 in Galesburg. She preceded him in death in 1978. Survivors include his son, Dan Greenlee, of Davenport; daughters, Valerie Greenlee-Drier, of Davenport, and Rosel (Susie) Greenlee-Clark, of Arkansas; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers Ray C. Greenlee and Jack E. Greenlee, both of Davenport; and sister Delores L.

Fuller, of Florida. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife and sister, Betty Brown. Memorials may be made to St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Davenport. Moline Robert Thennis MOLINE Robert L.

Thennis, 71, of 1423 17th died Thursday, May 1, 2003, at Trinity Medical Center-East Campus, Moline. Robert L. Thennis was born Oct. 29, 1931, to LeLand and Sarah (Ayers) Thennis in Moline. He married Ruby Vestal on Oct.

16, 1951, in Topeka, Kan. He attended Cornell College and graduated from the University of Iowa. After Mr. Nagan graduation, he moved to Seattle. On February 19, 1994, Mark had a seizure at work and his battle with brain cancer began. After treatment in Seattle, he returned to Bettendorf and worked locally for the American Cancer Society.

After many setbacks, he moved to the Palm Springs, area where he was still able to enjoy his passion for running, which kept him going through his numerous treatments. Always courageous, Mark possessed engaging humor in every sense of the word, which pulled him through his never-ending life of battles. His magnetic personality attracted friends wherever he went. Mark's loves were the Iowa Hawkeyes, Bix races, West Coast runs in Washington and California, traveling, tennis and his two nieces. Mark's competitiveness, positive attitude and courageous fight not to give up will be remembered.

Mark is survived by his parents, Anne and Mark T. Nagan, sister and brother-in-law, Cathy (Nagan) and Juan Aquino, and his two nieces, Anna and Alison Aquino, all of Bettendorf. Memorials may be made to the National Brain Tumor Foundation, 414 13th Suite 700, Oakland, CA 94612-2603. Visitation will be 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 4, at Weerts Funeral Home with a prayer service at 2 p.m.

Mass of the Resurrection will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Bettendorf, with additional visitation one-half hour prior to service time at the church. Stockton Patricia Rack STOCKTON, Iowa Patricia L. Flack, 82, Stockton, died on Thursday, May 1, 2003, at Muscatine Care Center. Patricia L. McQuinn was born on November 29, 1920, to Daniel and Ellen (Gaffney) McQuinn in Clyde, Mo. She married Blaine H.

Flack Sr. on May 5, 1947, in Stanberry, Mo. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 4, from 4-7 p.m. at Bentley Funeral Homes in Durant, with a Christian wake by Rose Augustine, who served as publisher and senior editor. In the past, the classical guitar's three treble strings were made of animal gut, which was prone to fraying and even breaking during concerts; the three bass strings were made of silk thread wound with thin, metallic wire.

The longer-lasting nylon strings produce a louder sound, are more consistent in tone and hold their tuning more accurately than gut strings. "It really revolutionized the classical guitar because it became the standard," Griesgraber said. from 1963-1965 as a nurse's aide, she then worked at Royal Neighbors, first as a nurse's aide then as head medical charge nurse's aide, retiring in 1987. Ruth liked cooking and her cookbooks, gardening and flowers as well as birds and animals. She also enjoyed spending time with her son.

She was very proud of encouraging her son to be generous in the community in helping others. Survivors include her son, Floyd "Bud" Egger Davenport; sisters, Betty (Fred) Boet-ger, Denton, Texas, Peggy (Lon-nie) Pike, West Plains, and Rose Kroeger, Bettendorf, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, William J. Kirkpatrick; and three other brothers who died at birth. Memorials may be made to American Lung Association in her name.

Corinne Williams Wright 02121958 04262003 Formerly of Davenport, she passed away April 26, 2003, in Suwanee, after a brief illness. She was a loving mother and daughter who loved to read and enjoyed her grandchildren. She is survived by her children Jessica K. Rousse and Jason Rousse, Atlanta, and Katherine Rousse, Boone, N.C.; her mother, Josephine Williams, Davenport, father, Richard Williams, Springfield, and brothers, David Williams and James Williams, Suwanee, Ga.

She is also survived by two loving grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Rhea Williams. Marion Marolf Amelotte DAVENPORT Marion Marolf Amelotte, 83, of Davenport, passed away on Wednesday, April 30, 2003, at Genesis Medical Center-East Campus, Davenport. Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Monday, May 5, at Ridgecrest Chapel.

Tuesday at Sheffield (111.) Cemetery. Miss Schreitling died Thurs day, May 1, 2003, at Trinity Medical Center-West Campus, Rock Island. Hodgson Funeral Home Rock Island, is in Miss. Schreitling charge of arrangements. She was a kindergarten teacher for 30 years and worked 44 years in Rock Island schools.

She retired in 1970. She was born Jan. 17, 1906, in Sheffield. Memorials may be made to-Rock IslandMilan Education Foundation. Miss Schreiting is survived by cousins, including Jean Jager, Moline, and Steve Wisley, Coal Valley, 111.
