Before that, he was trust officer and, vice president at First National, Bank, Denver; vice president and trust officer at Central Bank, Sheridan, and vice president First National Bank, Casper, Wyo. He was born Sept. 28, 1923, in Goodman, Mo. He married Vivian Bell in 1951 in Denver.

During World War II, he served in the Army with the 14th Armored Division in Europe. Memorials may be made to the church or Geneseo Public Library. 14, 1925, in Davenport. He married Delores Schlim-mer on July 6, 1945, in Davenport. He was past president of the Bricklayer Union for 12 years. He served on the Apprentice Committee and Health and Welfare Negotiating Committee. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Davenport, and Davenport American Legion.

He was interested in fishing, hunting and camping. Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church or Genesis Hospice. He retired several years ago. He was born Jan. 8, 1940, in Davenport, to Wilbur and Helen (Semel-roth) Strottman. He married Judy A. Anderson in March 1961 in Oshkosh, Wis.

She died Sept. 23, 1989. He was a member of United Auto Workers Union and a former member of East Moline-Silvis Jaycees. Among the things he enjoyed were boating, fishing, hunting and the Green Bay Packers. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or National Chapter of Huntington's Disease, New York, NY.

Burial will be in National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal, with military services by Moline American Legion Post 246. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today at the West Campus, Davenport. Josephine Agnes Eldridge was born Sept. 23, 1917, in Davenport, to Bowman Joseph and Marie Lorette (Miclot) Eldridge.

She married Raymond J. Laake on April 10, 1948, in Davenport. He died Oct. 5, 1983. Josephine had been a housewife and a honiemaker throughout her life.

She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and Christian Mothers at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Mrs. Laake has been a generous volunteer to the parish in earlier years.

She had been very active in the annual rummage sale and helped with the bingo program. She also had served on the PTA and had been a past president. Jo was an avid sports fan. She supported the Cubs and the Braves and had followed most sports, including the professional golf tours. She enjoyed the time spent with family and was especially fond of her faithful companion, Bunky, her dog.

Memorials may be made to the family for a memorial to be established in her name. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Rick Raney, Davenport; sons and daughters-in-law, Gene and Becky Laake, Davenport, Gary and Diane Laake, Park View, Iowa, and Dan and Colleen Laake, New Berlin, grandchildren, Jennifer, Scott, Andy and his wife Michelle, Angela, Alyssa and Kelli and her husband John; a great-granddaughter, Courtney; and a sister, Julia Doering, Davenport. Henrietta Gilliland was born Dec. 5, 1905, in Valparaiso, to John and Jenny (Robinson) Gilliland. After being orphaned in 1916, she went to live with her sister Lula (Mrs.

Edgar) Weddle and family near Boone Grove, Ind. She ated from Boone Grove High School and attended college at Indiana and Valparaiso universities. She taught school until her marriage to George R. Parry on Sept. 14, 1929, in Valparaiso.

and Henrietta were in the grocery business for many years. After retiring, they lived at their cottage in Leiters Ford, Ind. Henrietta lived with her daughter Janet Parry in Davenport, after being widowed in 1984. i While living in Valparaiso, she was a member of Eastern Star and the American Legion Auxiliary In addition to her daughter, she is survived by three grandsons and their wives, Matthew and Kathleen Tarnow, Mark and Kerri Tarnow and Thomas and Megan Tarnow. She also has six great-grandsons, Andrew, Adam, Keefe, Joseph, Shea and Daniel Tarnow.

Winckler, 79, of Davenport, died Wednesday, Dec. 16, 1998, at Genesis Medical Center-East Campus, Davenport, after a brief illness. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday Mr. Collins ice parts department after 34 years at John Deere Harvester Works, East Moline.

He was born Nov. 15, 1927, in Moline. He married Arlene Manahl in 1950 in Moline. She died in 1994. He served in the Navy during World War II and the Korean War.

He was born Jan. 5, 1916, in Kewa-, nee. He married Bertha Belsky in 1941 in Kewanee. During World War II, he served in the Coast Guard. He was stationed at Fort Myers, and Miami.

She married James Andersen in 1935 in Maquoketa. They farmed five years north of Delmar and then farmed west of Preston until retirement in 1978. He died in 1995. Miss Calmer died Tuesday, Dec. 15, 1998, at Trinity Medical Center-West Campus, Rock Island. She was employed as a private duty nurse, had worked at Presbyterian Hospital, Chicago, and retired from the University of Illinois Hospital, Chicago. She was born Jan. 17, 1911, in rural New Windsor.

During World War II, she. served as a Navy nurse in Seattle, San Francisco and San Diego. Memorials may be made to a favorite charity. Friday at Rock Island Memorial Park. 3-8 p.m. today at law practice in Maquoketa after receiving his law degree in 1941 from the University of Iowa, Iowa City. He reopened Keck Law Office after World War II. He practiced at Keck Law Office until 1971, when he was appointed by Gov.

Robert D. Ray as judge of the District Court for the 7th Judicial District of Iowa. He retired in 1979. He was born Oct. 30, 1917, in Maquoketa.

He married Phoebe Little in 1942 in Burlington. During World War II, he served as an ensign with the Naval Reserve. Memorials may be made to Maquoketa Library Fund or the Alzheimer's Foundation. Survivors include his wife; daughters, Susan Bowen, Waukee, and Katherine Hayward and Carolyn Keck, both of Maquoketa; four, grandchildren; and a Mr. Winckler was employed at WG.

Block Co. and later was a general contractor with his son until retirement in 1976. He was born Feb. 28, in Grand Rapids, Minn. He married Lillian Triebel in 1939 in Anamosa, Iowa.

Survivors include his wife; daughters, Karen Radcliff, Davenport, and Carol Evans, Stockton, Iowa; a son, Ronald, Davenport; eight grandchildren; 15 greatgrandchildren; and a great-greatgrandchild. Lilyan Shoemaker DAVENPORT Lilyan R. Shoemaker, 84, of Conneaut, Ohio, died Monday, Dec.

14, 1998, at Manor Care Health Services, Davenport. Services will be Saturday in Conneaut. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Conneaut. Lilyan Siirtonen was born June 26, 1914, in Conneaut. She married Garold Shoemaker.
