QUAD-CITY TIMES Monday, March 26, 1984 Last escapee finally caught SAN DIEGO (AP) The last of five men who escaped from a Tennessee prison last month was picked up Sunday morning on a downtown street here by an officer acting on a tip, police said. Although the man identified himself to Officer Sieve Higuera as Henry Jackson Jr, a fingerprint check and other identifying information showed he was actually Sylvester Alexander, 33, also known as Adib El-Amln, Officer Nate Caplan said. Alexander was booked into the county jail on a Tennessee escape warranL He and four others were the object of a massive manhunt throughout the Southeast after they escaped Feb. 18. Walter Townsley CLINTON, Iowa Services for Walter Townsley, 76, of Clinton will be 10 am today at Clinton Memorial Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Clinton Memorial Park. Private family visitation Is 9 am to service time today. Mr. Townsley died Saturday at his home. He retired in 1971 from DuPont Co, Clinton.

(AP) A policeman was fatally shot early Sunday during a fight with a motorist he had stopped, and the officer's new wife, a policewoman, was among those called to his aid Metropolitan police officer Robert Dana, 29, of Pembroke was apparently shot during a fight with a motorist he had stopped along the Blue Hills Parkway in Milton about 5:45 am, said Frank Muolo, a spokesman for the Metropolitan District Commission Police. MDC Police issued an all-points bulletin for Richard Best, 21, a Boston laborer who is wanted for questioning in connection with the slaying, Muolo said Police issued the bulletin after interviewing 15 people, Muolo said Best used the alias Kevin David Best and is also wanted by Boston police on larceny charges, Muolo said He declined to provide further information.

Steinke married Ella Lange in 1926 in Lowden. She died in 1959. He was a member of the church. Isenberg died Saturday at Veteran's Adminstration Hospital Iowa City. Mr. Isenberg was a cement fin isher in the construction business in the Quad-Cities. He was an Army veteran of World War II, receiving a purple heart. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 828, Davenport.
