20, is the date selected for the marriage of Miss 4 V-MY 1 Vows will be exchanged at 1 p.m.. Saturday, Sept. 13, in St. John's Methodist Church. All friends and relatives are invited to attend the wedding and a reception after the ceremony in Fellowship Hall.

30 in Washington, D. C. are visiting with the bride's parents in Davenport. The former Miss Betty Marie Michael, Washington, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.

Herman B. Michael, 1015 W. 15th and Mr. Nahas, Silver Springs, Md, son of James William Nahas, Braid-wood, 111., were married at 1 p.m. in the Chirst Lutheran Church of Washington, the -Rev.

William F. Bruefting officiating. A reception was held Tuesday evening in the bride's parental home. The couple will stay in Davenport and visit in Braidwood before returning to Washington. The bride chose a waltz length gown of Chantilly lace and tulle styled with a full skirt.

A rhine-stone tiara held her elbow length veil and she carried white roses and feathered white chrysanthemums on a white Bible. Mrs. William Johnson, Arlington, as matron of honor, was attired in a waltz length gown of pink chiffon and she carried a Colonial arrangement of pink and white feathered chrysanthemums. William Johnson, Arlington, served Mr. Nahas as best man.

Milon John Deanovich, Silver Springs, was an usher. A reception was held in the church hall after which the couple left for Davenport. Upon their return they will reside at 5741 Colorado N.W., Brightwood, Washington, 11, D.C Mrs Nahas was graduated from Davenport High School, the American Institute of Commerce and attended Junior Business School in Washington. She served with the Navy and Navy Reserves. She is now a secretary in the Department of Defense in the Main Navy Building, Washington.

A graduate of Braidwood High School, Mr. Nahas attended the Montgomery Junior College for Engineers in Silver Springs. He served in the Marines for four years with duty in Korea. He is with the Naval Ordnance Laboratory and testing center in White Oak, Silver Springs, as en gineering aid. County Medical Assistants Hear Insurance Talk The Scott County Association of Medical Assistants were in formed of insurance coverage of diagnosis and office treatment at a dinner meeting in Hotel Black-hawk.

Speaker was Merle Libby, Dcs Moines, a representative of Blue Cross-Blue Shield Hospital Insurance. Mrs. Walter Green, Davenport, president qf the county group, reported that plans have been made for the next meeting, Oct. 1 at Mercy Hospital. A representative of a drug company will be speaker.

Members of Iowa Gty, Clinton and Cedar Rapids units were present at the meeting Wednesday Mr. Loving attended the State University of Iowa. Sch rader'Koran da Miss Mary Jo Schradcr and Thomas Koranda, whose engage ment was announced last October, have selected Saturday, Sept. 13, as the date for their wedding. Miss Schrader is the daughter of Mrs.

Herbert W. Schrader, 715 S. Clark and the late Mr. Schrader. Mr.

Koranda is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin A. Koran da, 2234 W. 2nd St.

The ceremony will take place at 11 a.m. in St. Alphonsus Church. A reception will be held in St. Alphonsus School hall from 7 to 10 p.m.

All friends and relatives are invited to attend both events. Mrs. Dennis Bryant. Davenport, will be matron of honor. Miss Jean Schrader, Davenport, sister of the bride-elect, will be bridesmaid and junior bridesmaid will be Miss Bette Kay Jansen, Eld-ridge, cousin of the bride-to-be Dennis Bryant will serve as best man.

Gerald Koranda, and a linen shower by Mrs. Jack Jansen and Mrs. Aloysius Pohlman. The rehearsal dinner will be given by Mr. and Mrs.

Alvin A. Koranda. Gluba-ftlessmer Miss Mary Jo 1 a and Charles Messmer, bpth of Davenport, who will marry Saturday, Sept. 13, have selected the attendants for their wedding. Miss Mary Jo Hart, Davenport, will be Miss Gluba's maid of honor.

Bridesmaids will be the Misses Rosalie Melroy, Mary Herd, Ellen Elaine Gluba, sister of the bride-elect, all of Davenport, and Miss Donna Rae Ger-ety, St. Louis. Beth Ann Marlin will be flower girl. Mr. Messmer has selected Robert Hutcheson as his best man.

Ushers will be William Gluba, brother of the bride-elect, Stephen Burdt, Ronald Messmer, brother of the prospective bride-groon all of Davenport, and James Hicks, Galesburg, III. Vows will be exchanged at 11 a.m. in Sacred Heart Cathedral. Friends and relatives are invited to the ceremony and reception from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Empire Room of Hotel Blackhawk.

A dinner will be served the bridal party in the Pompien Room of the hotel. A series of prenuptial parties have honored the couple. The prospective bridegroom's mother, Mrs. Fritz Messmer, entertained the bride-elect at a miscellaneous shower as did Mrs. Rudolph Pre-bonich who had a patio buffet supper and shower.

Miss Mary Jo Hart and Miss Joanne Roete gave a party gift shower and Miss Rosalie Melroy and Miss Mary Herd will fete Miss Gluba with a personal show- Family Schedules Reunion On Sunday The Mangels family will hold a reunion Sunday at the Mays-ville Hall. A potluck luncheon will be served at noon. Officers are Walter Behm, president; George Mangels, vice president, and Mrs. lHarold Stock, secretary-treasurer. and Mrs. Frank Heilman and Mr. and Mrs. Lester Leatherman. Alpha Zeta Plans were completed for an ice cream social to be Sunday by members of Alpha Zeta chapter of Epsilon Sigma Alpha sorority at a meeting in the home of Miss Mary Jo Pendergast, 1485 W.

29th St. Serving will be from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Village Shopping Center. A rummage sale was also discussed. Mr.

The Ladies Auxiliary of the Local Barbers Union No. 116 of Davenport, will meet Tuesday, Sept. 9. at 8 p.m. in the home of Mrs.

JWiry Mothers Plans were made for a veteran's dinner at Iowa City on Sept. at a meeting of the Navy Mothers Club, No. 47. The budget was announced to include $5 for Marine kits, $10 for Navy kits and $2 for the Knox-ville Hospital. There will be no sewing meeting in September.

Delta Pi Mrs. Eugene Gronewold, 1223 Elmore Bettendorf, was hostess for the first fall business meeting of Delta Pi chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Mrs. William Polchow spoke on "Definition of Happiness." Plans were discussed for bake and rummage sales in October and November. Mrs.
