(Special) Jay Reno died at his home in Nekoma Thursday night after a lingering Illness. Mr Reno had been confined to his home for the past three years.

He was C. B. Q. agent there and postmaster until the time of his ill health. He was active In the Woodman lodge.

Mr Reno was born in Augusta, 56 years ago, and grew to manhood there. Twenty-eight years ago last February he was united in marriage with Miss Ollie Kelly, who survives him. Stone Brothers Sell Restaurant At Sherrard, 111. SHERRARD. 111., Oct.

M. C. A. Physical Directors Headed By Sterling Man STERLING, 111., Oct. 30.

(Special) W. L. Hendricks of this city has been elected chairman of the northern Illinois district of physical directors of the Young Men's Christian Association at a meeting held in Freeport. Representatives were present from Sterling, Dixon and Freeport. Belvidere is also In the same district.

Inter-association work will be carried out in basketball, volley bull, swimming and bowling. Dead at 101 Word has been received here of the death of Mrs George Hagey, who attained the age of 101 years, one month and five days. The drive will begin with an open meeting at which time a representative of the Illinois Chamber of Commerce will speak. The Geneseo Chamber of Commerce, organized about two years ago, now ha3 a membership of about 100. Efforts will be made to double the membership during the drive. They played several selections. They were advertising the legion play to be given in Ale-do soon. School Hao Party The seventh and eighth grades of the school enjoyed a Hallowe'en party in the play room of the building last evening. The affair was a masquerade and there were many unique costumes. Games and stunts were the amusements and a luncheon was served.
