ROSE DeBOLT County Auditor in and for Wayne County, Iowa 35-3t-c Obituary GERALD RAYMOND Obituary ROSENBAUGH Gerald Raymond Rosenbaugh, son of Charley Rosenbaugh and Fannie (Anderson) Rosenbaugh was born March 6, 1917 at Creston, Iowa and departed this life at Veterans Hospital, Des Moines, lowa on September 25, 1969 at the age of 52 years, six months and 14 days. He had entered the hospital July 29, 1969. Gerald was of a family of eight --two brothers and five sisters. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Lorena, whom he married June 8, 1963; a brother Clarence Rosenbaugh of Creston and three sisters, Mrs. Ralph (Fern) Schafer of Creston; Mrs.

Mabel Hartman of Eugene, and Mrs. Stella Hostteter of Portland, besides a number of nieces and nephews and a host of freinds. Gerald was a member of the First Christian Church, He was a veteran of World War II and received four stars for the Sicilian, Naples Foggia, Appennies and Rome Arne Campaigns, He also received the Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal, Meritorious Service Wreath with one Oak Leaf Cluster and the Combat Infantry Badge. He was wounded in Sicily August 15, 1943 and again in Naples, Italy October 14, 1943, Gerald was devoted to his family and always willing to help where ever needed. He will be greatly missed by all, We feel comforted that our loved one is at rest, peacefully in Heaven.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 27, 1969 from the Wolf Funeral Home in Corydon, Iowa with Reverend Paul Williamson officiating. Favorite hymns were sung by Geannie Radcliff, Pallbearers were Paul Loney, Donal Greer, Morgan Hawkins, Wayne Phillips, Jesse Hook and Robert Chappell. Military honors were presented at the graveside by the Theodore J. Martens V.F, W.

Post No. 1797 of Creston, Iowa. Interment was in Corydon Cemetery. Card Of Thanks Our heartfelt thanks to all who extreded comforting sympathy and help in our recent sorrow. For the beautiful service, floral offerings, and other kindnesses we are deeply grateful.

and Mrs. Dail Whiteley, is on his way to Germany for a year of duty with the armed forces.
